New combinations with the genus Rothmannia forthree former Gardenia species are proposed: R.lagunensis R. merrillii and R. negrosensis.Neotypes are designated for R. lagunensis and R.negrosensis, while R. merrillii is lectotypified.With these three taxa Rothmannia is now established also for thePhilippine archipelago.
