Dr. Cheryl P. Andam takes my Skype call from her office in the University of New Hampshire, where she works as an assistant professor and researcher, specializing in microbial genomics and evolution. Behind her are a few paintings of landscapes, nature scenes. It’s only 8:00 in the morning in New Hampshire, but she is already energetic and excited to talk.
