Dr. Cynthia Jameson is a Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. She has published over 200 scientific articles, and has made major contributions to the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), an essential tool for chemists. NMR has also been applied for medical imaging, in the form of magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI scans.
